The Global Living Wage Coalition and Anker Research Institute are excited to share new living wage updates for six cities in China: Chengdu, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Suzhou, and Zhengzhou. The studies were originally conducted in 2019, and these updates account for changes in inflation, exchange rates, costs of living, and policy changes since the original reporting.
These reports estimate the wage a worker in one of these six cities in China needs to receive each month to afford a basic but decent standard of living.
