The Global Living Wage Coalition members and partners are pleased to announce the launch of our new living wage website. The public website includes information on Anker Methodology living wage estimates created by the Global Living Wage Coalition, as well as details about how this research is being used to improve the lives of workers around the world. This robust space to explore living wage topics, connect to other living wage efforts, and share lessons from implementation projects was made possible thanks to a grant from the ISEAL Innovations Fund supported by SECO and at the incredibly skilled hands of the Rainforest Alliance.
We hope that the resources provided on the site will help you to advance your own efforts to ensure workers earn a living wage and would encourage you to let us know if you too are working with the Global Living Wage Coalition living wage estimates to improve conditions for workers around the world. There is a strong need and desire to work together and learn from the experience of others, and it is in this spirit of collaboration that we launch this online community space. And please, when you share information about your work on social media, use the #GlobalLivingWage hashtag so that we can add it to our newsfeed and help get the word out.
If you are inspired by the information contained in the site and would like to understand more about the site and how it will be used, please listen to our webinar to hear Jessica Grillo (Rainforest Alliance) and Michelle Bhattacharyya (GLWC) provide a guided tour of this exciting new website and its purpose and uses. https://vimeo.com/278355836
Please feel free to share and invite others to sign up for future benchmark releases and GLWC news.
